I totally agree with you about Vic and in particular Melbourne based drivers.

I have driven all over Australia and all around the world.

I spend a fair bit of time on the road and I am embarassed to say , every day without fail , I see drivers being discourteous , aggressive , irrational , tailgating , speeding , slow driving in the right lane , dangerous and down right stupid in their driving behaviour.
And that doesn't include the ones that directly affect me

I am going to become a one man vigilante , get one of those dash cams and send off any stupid behaviour to Vic Pol.
DITTO, Being a Melbourne-ite there is no way I can defend Melbournes drivers (or its weather)
I have never driven in any non english speaking country (except Box Hill or Springvale) , but have also driven all over Australia , and every state of USA except Alaska. Melbourne IS defenetlty the worst place to drive, I regularly drive in Adelaide & Sydney, Adeliaide is close to the nicest & most courteous CITY I've ever drive in, the people fall ove backwards to let you in, Sydney is not good, but no where as near as bad as Melbourne.

People warned me that LA, Chicago & NYC were not good to drive in unless you live there, but we found the opposite, they are a breeze, almost pleasand - probably people there are courteous because they expect you to have a gun ???

GET OVER IT. This is a FORUM not kindergarten.
I like the idea that there are forums that I can read and watch video clips while my grandchildren are in the room without my running the risk of exposing them to something inappropriate.

We have been told innumerable times that the aim is to keep the forum G rated. It is quite possible to discuss a wide range of topics without putting that G rating at risk.

I like it that way and I suspect a lot of others do too. However what I think is of no real importance. The forum is set up that way. If I don't like it I can leave. There are other forums where it seems anything goes. If you don't like the rules here, you might be happier in one of them.

There is a lot of tailgating on Queensland roads and never a copper when you want one.
Some 000 operators need more training I found that out while employed in the emergency services.Time is the essence once location is established. The trouble is some locations are in every state same name and that wastes a lot of time because the caller is usually panicking and getting it right again takes time.

AS quoted: "I like the idea that there are forums that I can read and watch video clips while my grandchildren are in the room without my running the risk of exposing them to something inappropriate."

I am guessing you have a language filter on your television as well. You grandchildren most likely hear bad language from there parents within the home.

But then again I forgot you and your family are one of the righteous few who have never swore or blaspheme against anyone of anything.

As for the forum and posting video clips on occasion the odd inappropriate comment or word is used. Unlike the retired ones most of us don't have the time to censor every word at every second of these clips.

I think I would be panicking as well when someone is raming me of the road and driving like a lunatic.

I thought he was very cool, trying to avoid someone who was completely irrational ?

I am surprised the police have not arrested the offending driver !!! seems pretty black and white to me. And even if the other driver did cut him off the reaction was a total over reaction.

Perhaps a dash cam would be a good investment, also without it would be hard one to explain to the insurance company.

I wouldn't have picked it up except someone else commented on it. I hadn't watched the video and didn't intend to do so..

It really doesn't matter how many unwarranted assumptions you make about my television viewing habits or how many snide remarks you make about my family. It is unlikely to bring about a change in the rules on this forum.

I didn't make the rules. However, I have read the rules. I like them. I try to abide by them.

If you don't like them, you don't have to stay.

Sniping at me won't change the rules.

So Mr PC ROVER you imposed a penalty against a member of pure hear say.

You failed to verify the content of the video clip by you own admission.

How do you know that the comment wasn't a malicious attack against this member.

This this a blatant abuse of a privileged position and I think this action was totally uncalled for and very much a ego trip on your behalf.

Strongly reccommend you verify any comment before going of on a tangent.
