Holy smoke! Anyone with just one of those hurdles to overcome would have a hell of a story to tell. To have have to beat all of those is an amazing show of determination and courage.

Glad to hear you are in the clear and can look forward to enjoying life to the fullest again!

Are you expecting the kidneys to return to full function?

all the best for your future health.
    Cheers,

    Sean

    John,

Full on Congrats mate!! Now get thyself out there and see some more of this great place.

I have seen many people have to abandon the dream trip/s for ill health, and some die without even getting out there.

You are truly at a great point in your life, really wish you all the best for the future.

No mate that's one thing that the kidneys cannot do.You can get partial function back but never 100% like the liver.I just have to look after my fluid intake,I will for the rest of my life walk a fine line between Hydration and dehydration that can be caused by medication getting rid of fluids. In hospital I was on 500ml a day from everything milk soup etc they would give me no water but ice and it never tasted so good.To date they have me on 2 litres a day and I find that adequate but had to educate myself a lot.It all says something about being positive and appreciating the help given to me by mostly young Doctors and Nurses,to them I owe eternal gratitude..in my eyes a wonderful bunch of kids.
Just remember no matter how bad you are there is always someone somewhere worse off.
    John.

It is fantastic to hear that you have overcome this massive hurdle and it is great to know that you will get to travel this amazing continent. To get the all clear at anytime is a fantastic thing but it is a really great thing to be able to begin a new year with this terrific news, best wishes to you for your adventures,
    Dave.

    Well done Disco44,
We often hear of the poor endings for people with C, but as you have proven, treatment has improved immensely in the past few decades. (Even if it does feel like being baked in a Microwave!!)

I am sure your 23% kidneys will appreciate the lovely ride in the D4, once your back up to 50% you can buy a Defender and at 80% a leaf sprung Series 2A.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
