That's pretty rough Tombie. Dogs have a way of being many things in your life, friend, protector, clown, and forever pleased to see you.
Every night I get home from work and the dog meets me excited as ever at the top step, I'm always reminded of the joke "If you lock your dog and your wife in the boot of the car, which one would be pleased to see you when you open the boot again?"

I am very sorry Tombie, I know how hard and painful is to loose an irreplaceable mate.
He will be with you for ever.

Sorry to hear, i to know the pain. Dont leave it to long befor getting another dog as it will hurt more and more and its "not a home with out a dog".
I left it 6 months befor getting another as no new dog was good enough to fill the place left behind- all that did was make it worse. just my 2c....

Sorry to hear Mike....my Germ Shep took a funny turn the other night she appears OK now but I think we are borrowed time with her and no doubt I will be in your very sad position soon...
its never easy to lose a pet regardless of its species

Sorry to hear of your loss Mike
I lost my Samoyed some years ago due to a heart attack

Thats no good. There's nothing like a mate who is a dog.

Sad news, Mate.
Went thru a similar thing ourselves a couple of weeks ago.
Still strange not having her around.
She was a lovely girl, that I had the pleasure of meeting.
Our thoughts are with you & Emma.

Very sad to hear. I've had several dogs, they all become such a big part of our lives, a real part of our families. Anyone who doesn't view them that way shouldn't have one. It's a real shame mate.

Ah Mike, so sorry to hear it. I lost one of mine last year to a snake - her second bite and we weren't home to be with her. They are great, loving and loyal mates and their memory stays with you. Hopefully soon it will be all the good memories and not just the one of loss. We still have our other 2 - one of them has survived 2 bites so far and cant have another as apparently they develop an allergy to the horse serum thats a part of the antidote. So our Charlie is on borrowed time cos he just hates snakes and unfortunately cant help but pick on the big ones that he cant break their back when he picks them up and shakes them. You just have to love them and enjoy them while they are in your lives.
