My Samoyed friend just died - I'm Devastated.

    I can't believe it

My wife just phoned me in tears...

My beautiful friend of 9 1/2 years has just suddenly died

She had a sore back leg for a few days and was booked to go see her friend (and I mean friend) the Vet tomorrow.

I am told she was bounding around this morning (on my side of the bed) happy - I'm guessing looking for me... (I'm currently away at the Mine).

And then wandered outside and lay down in her favourite cool spot on the concrete..

Now she will never wake up

She was the most wonderful, gentle friend and family member, playful and caring.

    I'm absolutely devastated...

I will post pictures when I get home and can access them...

But for now, I'm just at a loss....

I'm really sorry to hear Mike and know how you're feeling.

We only have them on loan for a very short time, but their influence is immense.

I still miss my best mate, we were lucky and had her for fourteen years.
She's been gone two years now and we still miss the physical presence, but have many, many wonderful memories.

She would've felt your love regardless of the distance, and not that it helps or will diminish the pain you are feeling ATM it will eventually dissipate.

They're a gorgeous dog, and it sounds like she was a wonderful part of your family
Best of luck mate, may she rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of your loss, they are a beautiful animal.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Sorry to hear that, Mike. They really do become one of the family - they're non-judgemental and happy to see you. It's awful when they go.

My sincere condolences! We've been through it 3 times in the past 35 years, all from old age thank God, but have never got used to it . We still miss each & every one of them but also remember the good times as well.

Sorry to hear, you have to remember the good times

They are such wonderful companions, when they go it is truly devastating.

Sorry mate! I lost my best mate (a Golden Retriever) a couple of years ago to cancer - in under a week. I still miss her.

Reflect back on all the good memories and celebrate them. Dogs really make life better.
