Welcome to AULRO forum you will find it quite extensive and with some VERY knowledgeable people on it.

As for parts and quality,I would suggest, Genuine,Bearmach,QH most of these parts have a high quality control, but some duds will get through,(ex parts person) we also have a 98 Disco 1 300TDI auto

    cheers

What you will find is a lot of the cheaper parts in the uk, and here too, Are supplied by people like bearmach and britpart, a lot of these parts are made in china etc, and as such are made very cheaply thus there not always that good, saying that some of the parts are fine, but be warned, if you intended in using your vehicle everyday or for remote travel,I would highly recommend higher quality parts. A lot of the cheaper brands have not been tested for the Australian conditions, and we do a lot more miles here than say the uk and Europe. I would sell genuine all the time, but the market dictates I also offer cheaper brands, just take care and do a little home work.

Juddy, you can't compare Bearmach to Britpart, it's just not fair

An often excuse by Aussie's where in fact the average k's a year traveled by cars is the same in Australia as it is in the uk.

In the uk cars do on average 12,000 miles a year. Here in Aus it's 20,000 k's. give or take 400k's the same figure.

After all how many of you live in Sydney and work in Melbourne. Most if the time you drive to and from work and to and from the shops. Same as they do in the uk.

Yeah as I said on average

I do 80,000ks a year in my company car. My area is Coffs to Carins

But I used to do 50,000 miles a year in the uk doing the same job.

I did around 10,000 miles per year in the uk, around 20/25000 here.
