    Angry Ordering parts from overseas

    So..... the story goes.
After all the fuelling problems that i had earlier last year (300tdi Disco), i come to the conclusion that getting a new/reco injection pump was the solution.
I ordered a new pump at the start of June - ill omit the price and whom i ordered it from. I will say that i considered the reputation of the retailer not just the price.
But yes it was from an overseas seller.

All went well untill time started passing and nothing had arrived. Sent an email politely asking for an update, ignored. Sent another, ignored - getting irritated now. firmly worded (not nasty....yet) email sent oh the seller acknowledges this one, issues with his supplier and he cannot give me an ETA. fair enough just keep me informed and do not ignore me.

So i let a few weeks pass and the cycle starts again. phone calls, emails Same outcome. Now I am getting quite nasty. but i am still getting sporadic replies

Apparently the package was sent, but was returned by customs. And apparently the package was re sent in late october.. highly doubt it considering they cannot even send me a tracking number

I guess i need to accept that money is lost.

    My question now is:
What can i do to a) get my money back b) make this turd suffer

P.S. Spare me the moral discussion on buying from overseas there are more than enough threads on that topic

That is unfortunate - many seem to purchase OS and have no trouble.

I believe that if you use Paypal there is some protection, in some cases the supplier of your credit card may also offer some protection for non-delivery of purchases made on it.

Would start by not withholding the name, but let as many people as possible know not to deal with them. And also do so on forums in their home country.

    I second that most firmly!
If you paid by CC do a charge back. There is a time limit on it so check with your card issuer.

I have had a few issues like it with some UK suppliers, but I have a "donk" called younger brother who lives in the UK, so he has beaten on a few doors to get a resolution.
Best of luck and keep us posted.

Have you asked them to refund your payment and cancel the order?

That is most disappointing to hear. Could you PM me the suppliers name so that I don't have the misfortune to suffer a similar fate.
