    Dad had a 1968 2-door with a 429 inch ( 7.0 L ) and C6 autobox. Wonderful machine for a 17 y.o. ( me ) to drive! He got it after I rolled the '67 GTO over an embankment.

'Bird ate fuel, but my did it have power. Loved it!

    G'day Dennis,

Thank you for the video clip. The Americans certainly knew how to add chrome detail to their cars! I am very partial to their trucks from the mid 1930-40s. They frequently had large chrome grilles - sort of like big chrome smiles .

    Kind Regards

    G'day Mick,

Thank you for posting the photos. It would certainly be hard for the three of them driving along in convoy to look discrete. Or you would be looking for a Presidential Limo to be not far away either. Did the passengers get out imitating a scene out of Men in Black?

    Kind Regards

YUP! I will agree with "Loanrangie" on that they were nice and neat while they were Customline based, then they started to put on weight and get fat like Toyota's Camery

That is why the Ford Mustang "Pony Car" was such a hit, small available in 6cyl or V8 and went quite well for it's time, basicaly a Coupe/Convertible on a Falcon platform.
