Not from a legal point but a p.c/publicity point how would any manufacturer look knocking back a genuine warranty claim because of professionally fitted wheelchair modifications?
I think my 02 defender has a bullbar made by ARB with a landrover stamp and slightly different indicators.
Its not just about different vehicle manufacturers.
Had a D4 battery replaced under warranty recently. Vehicle is fitted with a Traxide dual battery system. The dealer accepted the warranty claim and fitted a new starting battery, no problem. But in the course of conversation, after accepting the claim, he raised the issue of the presence of an after market duel battery system and suggested the starting battery failure was related to the presence of a dual battery system. Note - not whether the dual battery system was fitted correctly, it's mere presence and how it interacts or not with the vehicles systems.
Since a new starting battery had been fitted it was not something I was going to argue about but I did say that system is actually fitted by some dealers as an after market accessory (which I think is the case, maybe I'm wrong on that point) and so should not be a problem. His response was along the lines of "I don't know about that" meaning, I think, he doubted dealers would fit a non LR accessory.
The issue does seem to raise the possibility of double standard by which warranty claims could be accessed.
If some dealers do fit a particular after market accessories I would imagine those dealers could never reject a genuine warranty claim either on the accessory itself or on unintended interactions of the accessory with the vehicle which may give rise to a claim.
Those dealers who do not fit that particular accessory will always question unintended interaction of the accessory with the vehicle which raise warranty claims.
The same accessory used - possibly different warranty outcomes.

We have fitted all sorts of aftermarket accessories (i.e. bullbars, suspension, dual battteries,tyres,cruise control, etc) to vehicles for many dealers. These are fitted pre delivery and pre-registration.
These include, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Land Rover, VW, Holden, Ford, Hyundai, Jeep.
This definitely doesn't void warranty, and can't - regardless of what a salesman/dealer may say.
Your issue may be harder to resolve, 'cause of the inaction of the dealer and change of hands.

Many years ago I purchased a new Hi Lux twin cab and wanted a roo bar fitted as part of the deal. The slippery sam salesman was pushing a Totyota Bar and told me I may void my warranty by not fitting a Genuine Toyota. I telephoned the ARB agent to discuss purchasing one of their bars and he told me to tell the salesman they don't give a gurantee on their bars if they are fitted to Toyota's.

Just a note, I don't have a warranty problem although I did recently have a warranty claim that was resolved without any drama although it did take a bit longer than I hoped waiting in the queue.
The issue which I didn't want to publish is that, on behalf of AULRO, I am having a meeting with LRA to discuss communications between them and us. Warranty problems is one of 6 agenda items and I am seeking background information. It is likely there will be no resolution at this first meeting.

Son bought a new LC200 with all the gizmos supplied by Toyota. All warranty claims dealt with by Toyota, yet they(Toyota) have to resolve non Genuine issues with the the component suppliers. I.e bullbar, long range tank etc.
Any Non gen item is covered by its manufacturer warranty which may or may not match the warranty time/km frame as the original equipment it replaced.
However as the fat pig needs a GVM upgrade, which is supplied by ARB it requires a compliance plate also. If done at the time of purchase, pre rego, it is deemed factory rather than an aftermarket accessory and apparently no Eng inspection required and Toyota waranty applies.
But if fitted post first Rego, it is the supplier (ARwhose warranty applies and requires an Eng inspection for a plate to be issued and deemed an aftermarket fitment??
First few 1000kms tyres badly scrubbed. No questions, new rubber and wheel alignment done.

When I purchased my Defender Td5 in 2006, I had an ARB Bullbar, Safari Snorkel and a Land Rover OE Towbar fitted prior to delivery. After taking delivery, in the next year or so, I also fitted a Long Range Tank and a dual battery set up which I installed.
At no time during the warranty period was anything not seen to by the dealer (Austral in Brisbane) that I brought to their attention. I seem to recall that the only comment made at one particular time was to do with the added wiring I had put in to power accessories etc, but that was all it was.....a comment.
