I know how you feel Dave, January long weekend 2004, we were camping at Kenilworth when a huge storm like last night hit, I was on my 3rd bottle of red when I stumbled back to my camper to batten down, wet as a shag I bent over to pick up the pole on the far right of the camper annexe after it got blown over, the lightning hit a tree 20' away, went through the ground, up my wet leg, through my arm holding the pole and back to ground through the pole,I landed on the campers kitchen ( I know, because I had to rebuild it) Next thing I remember I am in Intensive care in Nambour hospital, 2 days later I get let out and to this day I still have numbness in my left leg, tinnitus, sleeping problems and a sharp stabbing pain in my left wrist occasionally(except when I am on the reds
) Just as a precaution Dave, get checked out. The guys at Nambour hospital were fantastic and said the only reason I am still here is because I had so much grog in me and was totally relaxed.
Cheers Ian
