    Mozzie killer recipe

This one has been widely circulated down here, and if I recall correctly, was originally supplied by the son of a resident. ( I think the son was with CSIRO or somesuch )

Any way, I use it, and generally it gives 3-4 days of protection. If the seasonal conditions are blowing new mozzies in all the time, it is not as successful.

Applied with a pressure sprayer in low wind conditions, and sprayed over plants, and into dark areas. I understand it also deters the millipedes.

    Per 1 litre of water
30ml of Bruinings ant & spider killer ( look for a product with a lot of Pyrethrin if you can't find this one, as that is pretty much all that is in this product )
20ml of Seasol ( liquid seaweed extract concentrate )
    20ml of wettasoil ( a liquid wetting agent )

Use a mask, not nice if you breathe this stuff in. Over here, you can buy all of this stuff at Bunnings.

If you think you had mozzies problems then you have never camped in the Barmah forest on the Murray

I used to attract mozzies , they sucked me dry, but now I don't seem to get bitten, I'll have them buzz around me, but since having diabetis 2 my blood isn't sweet enough for them???? or something

No mozzies, the sandflies have eaten them! On the note of not getting bitten as much I never did get bitten much and now I learn I have Hemochromotosis so could not taste nice! hehheehe
