I'm getting hammered almost daily for a couple of weeks now with an email supposedly from DHL stating a shipment label has been printed and I can click the link to track it.

    DHL Ship Shipment Notification
On April 22, 2013 a shipment label was printed for delivery.
The shipment number of this package is xxxxxxxxx.
To get additional info about this shipment use any of these options:
    1) Click the following URL in your browser:

Bouncing it results in a "undeliverable" response. Becoming annoying now!

The trick on most of these this is NEVER click on a link in an email.
Type the original URL into the browser or use your saved bookmarks.

I recently got a quite legitimate looking email from Telstra to say my payment of my last bill has had a problem from the bank.
They asked me to log onto a site to correct the problem, but I always very carefully check the address while it is in my Mailwasher before I download the full email. It was nearly a telstra address but had some other additions to it.
I simply just washed it. They are getting smarter.

Yep, Stuff comes all the time like that. I have been getting a very legit looking paypal 1 all exactly like a paypal receipt or purchase confirmation, 'cept for the fact they use "Paypal customer" in place of my paypal username! Very cunning The giveaway with most scams is the inclusion of a link you must click. Be afraid...Be very afraid!!

    Cheers Scott

Just had someone trying to scam me. offered to buy all my land rovers advertised on gumtree. I could not be bothered getting into the details. One thing I did find useful but would not work every single time but certainly did this time is reverse phone look up as he initially messaged me his email address so I would reply. here is the link for anyone who is interested

is also helpful to look after landline numbers especially for unknown missed calls
