    Its just that we're guaranteed to not remember what it was we needed until the shops are shut lol

    Yep, I have often commented about that, it seems people have to have their shopping fix and can't exist ONE DAY without the shops open. As far as I am concerned, all I can say is....GET A LIFE!!!

    Not everyday, but when you have 4 kids emptying the fridge on a regular basis (without telling you that they have used the last of the bread/milk etc) and when you are both working, weekends and public holidays are the most appropriate times for us to shop, particularly Woolies and Bunnings.........
    So I for one am glad that shops are open 7 days a week......

    I live in a very small rural town where the shops are within an easy walk of most residents. It is quite common to see many folk, particularly people who are single or have lost their husband or wife engage in supermarket shopping not only once a day but twice - both morning and afternoon. The motivation for this behaviour is loneliness. The other shoppers and the check out lady are their main [and only in some cases] form of social contact.
