G'day MR LR jnr
I have just looked up the James Taylor (Landrover,Range Rover official Historian)book which lists the 1983 Range Rover as having 132 bhp@ 5000rpm for the 8:13 to 1 comp motor and the 9:35 to 1 comp motor having 125bhp @ 4000rpm they are official figures, that,I think is less than the Old Holden 202cubic inch motor of the late 1960's and the 4 litre Falcon motor was more powerfull try and get the official figures for the mid 80's Toyota Land Cruiser and the Nissan Patrol then approach the head office of RTA or the manager of your I local branch,if not try your local friendly State MP.
cheers.
