Thanks Offtrack, I got no results googling Turbon.
I was envisaging a minor fortune from ebay, for something rare and exotic.

I had considered that too, Frank, but they could have been a later addition.
There was a bit of mystery on this site. The owners told us it had been owned at one stage by a drug grower/manufacturer/supplier and had a secret room. We took this information with a grain of salt but, just before we thought we were finished we found a cellar. It was not on the plan and was inaccessible while the house was standing.

In the deep dark recesses of my mind I think that "Turbon" was a brand of hot water system.

Turbon was the brand name of products made by the Uscinski family at Coorparoo. Hot water systems were one. Still exists as Turbon metal spinners. Peter Uscinski was prominent in club motor racing 1950's-60's. Notably a very fast Morris Minor.
