    You can tell it was only done under test conditions, the BMW driver was keeping a reasonable distance from the car in front.

    Would have interesting to see what the lights would have done under normal driving conditions, ie with the BMW only half a car length from the one in front.

    There must be a over ride type thing or how do you stop blinding pedestrians walking along the foot path at night??. Other wise for our type of country driving, on low beam we have no chance of seeing the roo's after the car in front has passed them, so I like it, not that ill every be able to buy a new Beemer ..Gary

    That looks a very impressive system.

    I have a nearly 3 year old X5 with bi xenon lights. They are pretty average - so much so that I fitted some HID Roo Lites, much to the horror of the dealership. So BMW certainly needed to improve their lights.

    Secondly, I have fitted LED low beams to my D2. I was concerned that the HIDs were illegal (actually I was concerned about being fined), and the originals looked too yellow and weak. The LEDs were nowhere near bright enough, so I'd be interested to know what LEDs BMW are using (power, lumens etc).
