why is the approaching vehicle depicted to be coming head on?

my mistake, I was blinded by the oncoming light

You can tell it was only done under test conditions, the BMW driver was keeping a reasonable distance from the car in front.

Would have interesting to see what the lights would have done under normal driving conditions, ie with the BMW only half a car length from the one in front.

There must be a over ride type thing or how do you stop blinding pedestrians walking along the foot path at night??. Other wise for our type of country driving, on low beam we have no chance of seeing the roo's after the car in front has passed them, so I like it, not that ill every be able to buy a new Beemer ..Gary
