Morningrise!Fantastic choice! Though Blackwater Park is better for singalongs...
I keep coming back to Swans' Various Failures, as a best of (worst of?) it might not work for this thread but I don't have any actual albums to compare.
King Crimson's In The Court Of The Crimson King is my serious contribution!

Black Rose Immortal is a mammoth track. I'm going to go and have a re-listen to Morningrise now I think!
My favorite would be The Stranglers Rattus Norvegicus. After buying this it got me into going out to live music and looking for new and interesting sounds. Though The Dream Syndicate Days of Wine and Roses and Died Pretty Doughboy Hollow come very close. Too much to choose from !
I have a diverse mix including:
Billy Joel - Songs in the Attic (reminds me of my father)
Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business
Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA (dont ask me why I just like it)
Metallica - Master of Puppets & Metallica (self titled album)
AC/DC - Back in Black
Jamiroquai - Travelling without moving
Also a fan of the following soundtrack albums
The Big Chill
Pulp Fiction
Regards,
George
Nup , cant do it.
Depends what mood I am in. SWMBO says I am a moody old bastard so whatever I pick today will change over time.
A few of my all time favs:
Skyhooks............ Living in the 70's (Geez Shirl's been gone 12 year now!)
Midnight Oil..........10 ...1
Springsteen......... Born to Run
CSN&Y................ Deja Vu
Talking Heads .......Speaking in Tounges (Burning Down the House!)
Supertramp ..........Crime of the Century
Richard Clapton.....Past Hits and Previews
But also like some more recent stuff
Paramore ..........Paramore
Arcade Fire........ Neon Ballroom
to name but a few
(and left out sooo many)
Better stop lest I dump my Itunes playlistand send you all to sleep.
Disco Muppet, I'm sorry mate, I was there in the 70's and cannot listen to Rumours without feeling like I have been on a 36hour bender.![]()
