Juddy. And to think I was about to buy kit from you!

    Printers on gone.

    3 For!!!

Well, long wAy to go but positive signs both in play and general look of team.

I just want us to bat bat bat. If the series ends at 0-0 I'd take that right now. Sick of losing in 3.5 days. We need to fight for 5 days - 15 sessions. Pressure does funny things to people. Apply pressure!

Like you I hold an Aussie passport , I'll support the poms , and my grandsons will support the Aussies , if the Assies win don't worry they'll let me know big time , We wouldn't have it any other way , cheers jimr1

All out 215. Bit flattering really, pity our bowlers were a bit loose.

And Australia at 75-4 at the end of day 1. 14 wickets in one day doesn't bode well for anyone with tickets for days 4 & 5.

420 looks like a good score for both innings combined

Siddle & Smith, showing some form. Smith was on a $ 1 million CA contract, starring in all 3 forms of the game, but after failing in 5 tests he was banished to the wilderness for more than 2 years, and CA overhauled their player contract system. To his credit Smith gave away his leg spin [ a very handy spinner too, he was ] and focused entirely on his batting. His Sheffield Shield stats. of 296 runs at 37 aren't that flash, but the selectors saw something in his batting, & determination, and recalled him. [ note- Warners mate, Clark, is no longer a selector. ] If he realises his earlier potential, Smith could be the ultimate comeback kid. AND, he was/ is a very handy leg spin bowler, Boof has shown some cricket smarts in his selection, I think Bob

What a blistering first day at Trent Bridge!

Some fantastic swing bowling from Siddle, who seemed entirely unperturbed by any pressure. All out for 215 was a great effort. First Blood to the Aussies.

What to do with this mighty advantage? Throwing wickets away in a hurry to score runs is no way to win a match, let alone a series.

Smith looks in great touch - England will need to get rid of him lest he cement the middle order.

LOVE the Ashes....can't wait for 8pm this evening.

Interestingly, the last time I saw an opening bowler throw down a wide first ball of the series, it didn't bode well for the visitors!
