You're right Ean...it's all in the head and Swanny's dominating the battle. He was getting some magnificent turn off the Lord's pitch too.

Very glad Root got such a big score, it certainly makes David Warner look like even more of a fool for trying to deck him. Silly shot to get out to though.

Such a shame that the Aussie batsmen are not turning up to play.....and putting the bowlers under far too much pressure. Pattinson started off well at TB first innings but has really gone of the boil.

I think he came here on a refugee permanent residency visa.

Ahmed played just 10 first-class games in Pakistan with little success before he took political asylum in Australia, claiming death threats from the Taliban because he was involved in a charity promoting women`s education.

While he awaited a decision, Ahmed was trying to come to terms with the fact that he might be sent back to Pakistan, and his home region of North West Frontier Province on the Afghanistan border.
And he got 50. Without him and Clarke our score would have been even more woeful.

I think you're getting the two pakistan born Aussies confused!
Kawahja migrated here with his parents when he was a child and made a gutsy 50 in a 98 run stand with Clarke.
Ahmed came to Australia and claimed refugee status and after some "persuasion" from CA gained his citizenship. He hasn't played for Australia yet, but is on the 'A' tour.

NAH, you got it all wrong, warner needs to be sacked for not doing the job properly,if he had, that would have been 180 less the poms would have scored..

    Cheers Ean

Jeez the Agar dismissal was rough.
I really dislike the impact technology is having on the game.

Hopefully we can find some balls and regain a bit of respectability at Old Trafford.
    Too many bloody passengers!

Yeah, but if we dropped all the passengers off, we would only be left with 3 players. Mind you, I doubt we would do any worse...

Surely there's some young kids out there playing shield cricket that have some basic technique and actually want to have a crack..

Turning up for the Third Test with a team of 19 year olds lead by Michael Clarke isn't going to be much worse than what happened in the Second Test. Give it a go, I say!

FOUR key areas for improvement were identified in the Argus Report two years ago - and our Test batsmen are succeeding in none. +

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
