Not wrong, there wasn't a lot of good news to take away from today's efforts. Top order failed AGAIN... Let's see what the wicket is like tomorrow when the Poms get to bat, and hopefully our bowlers have their **** sorted.

Pretty ordinary, but it showed how good the English bowlers really are, I thought.

Best bowlers in the world, at the moment. Remind me of the West Indies, at their best , or Australia, in their day. They have worked the batsmen out, bowled to a plan, and reaped the rewards. Good to watch. The fact they have an Australian bowling coach, may help. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Maybe it was just because I was only a youngster at the time, but to me, there will never, ever be a bowling attack as fearsome and physically intimidating as the West Indies bowlers from the 80s. Malcolm Marshall, Curtley Ambrose and Courtney Walsh will forever live in my mind as a group that you would never want to face.

Not to say that the England bowlers haven't done well today though.

A bit of predicted cloud cover tomorrow might make a difference for our bowlers, but they need to get the score over 300 first. Lets hope Johnsons confidence with the bat carries over to his bowling and you can always count on Harris and Siddle. Still a long way to go in this game.

I just watched the highlights of our first innings on espncricinfo and for me Broad's delivery to get Johnson bowled was #1. I hope he doesn't continue bowling like that, or we're boned.

    Reckon they did

And whilst I'm not a "Clarke Fan" - he certainly earned his Skipper's Pay-cheque.

Another day for the bowlers today. They're looking in good form. Let's see if the England tailenders can get it to 3 figures.
