Pulled out my vinyl L.P. of 'Hearts Of Stone" Southside Johnny and the Asbury Dukes. 1978.
Maybe the greatest white soul/R and B record ever!! Proper r'n'b not modern crap.
A stable-mate of Bruce Springsteen's with a far better voice but never got the recognition because Bruce had
all the charisma and oomph and deservedly so. Springsteen is a much better performer but Steve is THE
singer.
Almost all the songs on L.P. written by Miami Steve van Zandt. (Springsteen's guitar player and musical compatriot).
Two written by Bruce.
Fantastic horn section.
Best song "This Time Baby's Gone For Good"
Peter.
