Re: What's your good deed of the day?

    I'll start...

This morning at the Woolies check out I was behind an old lady in the queue. Her bill came to $56.83 but when she counted out all of her change and she only had just under $10 I thought she was probably someone’s Nan and I’d like to think someone would have helped my Nan out when she was alive. She didn’t want me to help her but I insisted, and in no time at all we had all her shopping back on the shelves.

I was in a similar situation a few months back while I was waiting at the checkout at the supermarket.
There was this old bloke that had emptied his wallet out and was about $15 short for his groceries and he was looking pretty flustered and embarrassed by the situation So I took out a $20 note and pretended to pick it up off the floor and said to him that he must have dropped it.
I think that He and the check out lady knew exactly what I was doing But it allowed Him to get out of this embarrassing situation with his pride still intact
I am certain that if I had simply offered to pay for his shortfall he would have refused the offer, Like as said above this was most likely someone's Grandfather or Pop and it was only a lousy $20.

We have been having problems with a small mob of Shetland ponies that have gone "Feral" on the neighbours property smashing through fences and generally being a PITA about the place.
Yesterday I had to muster them out of the paddock that we keep our horse in which put the D2a through it's paces for a good half hour and it necessitated straightening up the spotties where I gave one of them a playful "Nudge" with the bullbar to install a modicum of respect in the animal.
I did however purposely leave my rifle behind So none of them got a Bullet which they richly deserve

I did manage another day without strangling or bludgeoning any of my colleagues or supervisors.

You are probably one of those 75 year olds that help out the 65 year olds

I sat through the last Awards Evening/ Christmas Concert at Lachy's school (High School next year.) and I didn't swear at any one.
    Cheers, Billy.
