Spending my time and tax payers money treating people who can't be bothered looking after themselves. Pat

I helped the youngster from the local pizza place get his bicycle going again, as while raking leaves on my front lawn late this evening I noticed him working on his bike and must have rang his boss who turned up and had a go to no avail. I thought this must be serious, so I got some tools and a torch and went over and found the chain had come off, got it back on and tightened the axle up as it was loose, hands got covered in grease, at least the kid had his pizza making gloves on. I suspect the chain came off as the cable is stretched so pushes the chain too far in the lowest gear, the bike stand was also loose, so the whole episode is probably due to poor maintenance, and lack of knowledge on how to get the chain back on.
To make matters worse, he was on a return trip so I didn't even get a cold pizza!

Does it still count if you get someone else to do it? Earlier this afternoon I noticed that debris that I thought was from the weekend storm was actually the headlight and associated bits from a car, so I rang the council and they had it cleaned up within a couple of hours.
It's amazing how self absorbed some people can be as dozens would've walked and driven past it and two houses face the area, but no one seemed to have made a call.

I must be due a Gold star or worse as no good deed goes unpunished. Yesterday I noticed a council tree branch had blown across one lane of traffic in my street, so I dragged it to the side and kicked a lot of broken bits off the road. Later at the North Lakes club I found a tap running in the gent's and managed to get under the basin to turn it off and notified the barman, who was appreciative.

I use the Snap Send Solve app,it is great.
Dead wallaby on our footpath the other day,Snap a pic,the app knows your location and sends the pic to the appropriate council.
Very easy. And the council actually sent me back a message saying they would have it gone the same day.
I used it also for the numerous Fire Ant nests down at the local park.
No response yet.
Illegally parked vehicles at our shed,on the footpath, blocking half our driveway, same, snap a pic, send it away, usually same day a parking officer is around.
At an auction today. Checking the invoice after I paid it against my list of my successful bids, found they had missed one, so went back and stood in a queue for ten minutes to get it corrected and pay the extra ($5).
