Stuff really does happen in threes!

I posted earlier that I found tonight that I have a blown exhaust manifold gasket - one.
Well on the way home from dinner a loud pop was heard and all power was lost accompanied by a very harsh air wooshing noise. A quick look on the roadside confirmed that my front silicon intercooler hose had come adrift - two.

Okies than, I'll jump on the 'puter and sort all these shenanigans out. Damn it! The google box keeps failing POST and shuts down a few seconds in - three.

I eventually coaxed it to life and read the error codes which confirm a nearly dead CMOS battery! Brilliant.

However, I do have choice for event number three. My good wife, after I explain that I have a formal dinner on Fri night, will start pulling the manifold off of the disco Sat morning and deliver it to somewhere for skimming Sat arvo, source and replace the CMOS battery Sat evening and then work on the camper trailer Sunday so it's ready for our next trip, asks me if I'll get time to fix a jammed door, finish painting downstairs and mow!

    WTF!
    Is it April fools day!

    Cheers

For a second there, I thought you meant your wife was going to pull the exhaust manifold off, deliver it for skimming, replace the battery and work on the camper trailer
    Then I re-read it

I went through many years believing things happened in threes when a young bloke.
Latter on in life I realized when something went wrong I was looking for number 2 and then creating number 3 with my active brain after number 1 and 2 happened..
I then learnt after reading many books we create our own reality, and if we believe it happens in 3's it will happen this way because we make this take place with a pre programmed belief pattern.

So true, but it can actually help. The converse is that because we look for number two and three, we are likely to latch onto small, insignificant or trivial events that fit the pattern, thus releasing our brains from eternal worry becuase we are free from the three!
