    AULRO forbidden in Kuala Lumpor?

On the way home from Europe our change over flight was in KL. I tried getting on to the AULRO site using the free airport wifi but get the following message..

    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /afvb/p38a-range-rover/ on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at www.aulro.com Port 80

Is it because the AULRO site contains "dirty" pictures?

i run a script that will shut down an address block if the system detects multiple breakin attempts within a short period of time.

    it may have been that.

i was running some geo blocks a while back as well but surely that would affect it these days i wouldnt have thought..

    huh, that's odd.
Fairly certain I accessed Aulro using airports all throughout Asia without any issue.

I go to KL and Malaysia a couple of times a year and have never had issues accessing any websites anywhere in Malaysia, Maybe the airports free network is limited

Me too. Even in the slightly more grim parts of China I had no issue with access, and I was working there when even the BBC News website was blocked.

That's because Inc. only lets subscribers access the section full of revolutionary plans by us dirty capitalists

I was quite surprised they didn't take offence at the "how much to pay for a corrupt government official" thread.

In all seriousness, they do monitor web traffic still for posts about events in a certain Square beginning with T (and I won't spell it out!), and block websites with it mentioned.

However, Malaysia is quite a bit more progressive. Must just have been Comrade Inc blocking access.

Funny, I thought it would be the "Best methods for using capitalism to undermine the efforts of Glorious Democratically Elected Communist Peoples Party" thread that got me into trouble

Yep, they also don't allow anything with a visible American flag on it from what I understand.
