If you want something smaller for the bike then check these out Motorcycle LED Lighting 3500LM 12V Cree X2 ****le MY Ride Advrider Tiger 1050 | eBay

They have been getting very good reviews on the adventure touring motorcycle forums. Apparently the 1600 lumen are more than enough even for daytime use. The 3500 need a dimmer for sure.

    - Gotta look symmetrical, like the headlights. (Used to be permitted ONE spotty mounted CENTRAL....Not now.)
They recently changed the rules in QLD so hopefully will flow on to other States.

    4 Application
This guideline applies to any vehicle manufactured to comply with ADR13/00 and is fitted with an uneven number of lamps that are used as a driving lights.
    5 Operational
    a. A vehicle described in 4 may be fitted with an uneven number of driving lamps, provided the lamps are fitted symmetrically about the centre of the vehicle.
    b. All other requirements of both ADR13/00 and the regulation relating to these lamps must be complied with.
6 Vehicles manufactured prior to ADR13/00
While no regulatory exemption is required, to ensure the requirements for vehicles manufactured prior to the commencement of ADR13/00 that are fitted with uneven number of driving lamps are clear, the requirement of 5(a) above also applies.
Signed in BRISBANE this 29th day of April 2013.

To ensure national consistency, Transport and Main Roads raised this issue with the Australian Motor Vehicle Certification Board, who have endorsed a change to the ADR to allow an odd number of driving lamps to be fitted to vehicles.

    Over $200?

Wow. you can get the same light for under $75 with free postage. I ran one on my Postie. Pretty good. No complaints.

But I fried it. It was a short in my Postie, not the light.

    I done my trip away.
The LEDs I have purchased I am happy with.

I should have used four pencil beams instead of Two pencil and Two spread beams as it would have been more effective.
The spread beams are wasted unless you are doing rock hopping at night.
For what I do sitting on 100 kph the pencil LEDs are the best spot lights I ever had.
If in roo country on the open plains then HIDs would serve you better.
The quality of the light is the key to the LEDs , just making my H4 120w high beams look yellow and ineffective.
I will get another two pencil beams and fit them.( I will use the spread beam lights as a campsite light.)
Being able to aim the separate lights where you want them has to be a advantage over a light bar.
Slightly more reflection from road signs close up, but better pick up of road side post reflectors at long distances.
