Speaking of US remakes of Aussie stuff, I rather enjoyed the remake of 'Wilfred' (worth a Google and a watch of you haven't seen or heard of it) when it was shown over here.

Apparently the Australian version was only 12 episodes whilst the yank series currently totals about 40, but unlike some remakes it features the same actor (also one of the writers/creators) in the role of Wilfred.

Wonderfully surreal, and actually rather funny.

Seen many, and loved most of those mentioned.

On another tangent, what about the Aussie mini series, that seemed to be a popular genre years ago? Those that spring to mind are ANZACS, The Shiralee and Dirt Water Dynasty.

For short films, you can't go past The Gate, as seen on the DVD for One Night the Moon. Very funny.

If it was made in the US it's mandatory that we have to see it here, so yes the US version has been shown on Foxtel as is the Aussie version.

Cath and Kim has also been remade in the US but without the Sharon character (Magda Suzbanski)

We still cant get our Aussie stuff on pay TV unless its owned by US or UK companies (read Freemantle)

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
