Had to show mine about 3 weeks ago as I was going for a leisurely drive up to Mount Mee in the Dormobile. I put a wheel over the centre line on that really awkward bend by the winery and got done for dangerous driving by some arrogant cop on a motorbike

The fact I was doing 30kph and apologized meant nothing to this .... The fact that ten idiots on motorbikes had overtaken me at 140kph meant nothing, the fact one was going so fast he couldn't stop at the roadworks traffic lights meant nothing either

According to this desirable officer of the law, it was idiots like me who cause fatal accidents on this road wtf By this time I'm afraid I lost it big time and was about to deck him but was led away to cool down by my passengers.

I ended up with a $198.00 fine which they refused to let me pay at 10 cents per week I've since followed several cars around that corner and every one of those cars has cut the corner more than what I did.

Should I put in a complaint against this officer with attitude ??

You should take action for severe psychological trauma due to verbal abuse and bullying by said officer.

I've got nothing but respect for the boys in blue who are hard working, honest, etc.
But there's no excuse for being rude.

Hahaha there are rarely corners I don't cross the lines to get a good apex (of course when I have the whole road to myself).

I've only been stopped once in 4 years of driving, the one time I drove past an RBT in a car other than a Land Rover!!! And I spend a lot I Saturday nights driving around Cronulla, so what's that tell you!

Also I've found they don't book you for up to 20 over down here... Hehe

    Cheers

You didn't mention whether it was your driver's side wheel or the passenger's side wheel that went over the centre line.

1987 driving a Hertz rental Orion (Ford) up the M1 in England. Got pulled over for speeding, handed my Brazilian license, never said a word & was not very politely told where to go, officer muttering about damn foreigners! I was a pom back then on home leave from Embraer...

Sad thing was I was in the middle of a pack of several vehicles all doing well over 70 MPH when I was singled out, just not British. Tudo Bem!

Twenty two years, eleven months and about five hours since a cop had a look at my licence. Was my thirtieth birthday. Had a permit to drive a vehicle with out plates. Had the plates in the car and heading home to fit them. Got done for no plates fitted. Once you got your number plates the permit was void. Not that it said that any where. With online fines now you miss the personal contact.

The last time I drove the wife's car, a couple of months ago.
Oh how I hate these modern super insulated and isolated jalopies.
Give me my dear old rattle and clunk Landy's any day, they CAN'T get you booked for speeding if they tried.

I think they just laugh when you leap along the road at 130 in a Land Rover...

    nothing personal but ..

what he probably meant was 'idiots like you' does not actually imply you are the idiot, just that others like you are idiots.

I often am in a snail of slow traffic held up by some idiot at the front, people do risk their, and others, lives by trying to get past this slow idiot. They are more idiotic than the idiot at front but in my view it wasn't for the idiot at front the dangerous situation does not happen.

I'm guessing thats what the cop was thinking

Beats me why these idiots don't pull over and let people pass, not as if they don't have time !
