    When oh when

Why is there so much junk on free to air tv? Just looked at program for tonight...nothing worth watching. When are we going to get some decent programs?

I don't think it's going to get any better, even my 12 year old son wanted to turn the tv off.

Looks like I'll be finishing the pre-study material for the course I am doing tomorrow.

Well you've just saved me checking to see if there's anything worth watching tonight.

I've got the computer plugged into the TV and running the AggFlow simulator on it at the moment. Supposed to have two different crushing plant designs for a 5 million tonne per annum iron ore mine finished by tomorrow. Should get it done tonight if there's no interruptions.
    Cheers .........

The spectrum space that FTA TV occupies is probably worth more to sell than it currently earns. So why spend money on quality programming? I suspect FTA TV will dissappear when the viewers have nearly all gone. That'll be when the National Porn Network has been sufficiently rolled out.

Yeah nothing on the tv. What is it with all the encore or special presentations of shows. Just mindless fill of tv time. Oh and as we really really need it, another shopping channel is starting up.

    You are right there.
Apart from the news, NETBALL, Moto and F1 and olympics and such, I very rarely watch anything but the ABC or SBS chanells.
I have to sit thru adds with the sound muted. Lately they are promoting a thing called "in a league of there own ", these pastits and down and outs
performing like cheap circus animals is mind bogling, they have absolutely no pride. Look ma i'm still a star and on telly. What about that slide show ? Belly laughs and guffers. For crying out loud.
Another thing I have noticed is this crap is being aired hours after the u.s. Gosh thats important, it must be even more moronic and needs abit of a shove.
All of this absurd stuff I suspect will be rating winners.
The way things are heading I am not surprised, in one sense these days, the average Aussie has no problem identifying with boofheads and in another sense the people need a mindless escape from day to day reality.
    Getting sicker which ever way.

    Cheers, I think.

PS: The online sellers of good books earn alot from me.
PS to the above PS: Doctor Who is still an historical documentary.

    FTA TV

Well there are not any compulsary viewing laws that I know of yet. Let the advertisers know you wont buy their goods if the ads are annoying. Or starve both the networks and their advertisers oxygen by turning the TV off. Listen to music , talking books, or read a real book . Life does not revolve around commercial media dictating to vested interests.
