    Posting Images

Could somebody please explain to a dummy how to post an image to the body of the thread.
Every time I upload an image it posts as a "thumbnail" not as a full size image.
    Please help

Basically if you want to put pics in the post you need to load them into a pic hosting site like Photobucket and when it is loaded then copy the image URL into the post and you should be right.

There are other ways but that is simplest.

An alternative is to leave them as thumbnails and assume that anyone who wants to look at them will simply click on them and view them full size.

Problem with this method is that pictures can then not be seen from many work places that block sites like Photobucket.

Leaving them as a thumbnail means everyone can view them, and it also means you post does not become pages long, which is just great when plp start quoting it.

Like many others, I don't have access to photobucket or file-sharing websites as I access the site from within a controlled network.

I use the 'manage attachments' function to attach the thumbnails to the message but then click on the link to open the image in its own browser (image now hosted by AULRO), copy the URL and paste it into the message body using the wee 'insert image' box.

It does mean that the thumbnails are shwon at the base of the message as well as the images themselves being full size in the mssage content, but I'm unable to remove them.

For me this only seems to work about one in ten goes - I normally just get an indication (little squares) in preview where the pic should be and when submitted nothing is there - a bit hit and miss for me.
