    Need help, Tire sizes!!!!!!

    Hi

    I have got a 1997 series 1 discovery tdi 2.5, I have been constantly looking around on the internet about tire sizes, I wish to know how big I can go without any suspension lift or any other mods.

    Please Help!!!!!!

    215/85R16 will fit with nothing other than adjusting steering stops.

    From there it's minor through major changes. Next stop is 235/85R16.

    245/75R16 is a common upgrade, but does require 2 mods:

    1. Steering stop adjustment.
    2. Trim rear guard.

    Very easy, but does mean cutting the body a little.

    For no mods, whatever it says on the door card.

    i had 255/85 16"s on my 1992 disco 1, they were on standard disco steel rims,
    vehicle had king springs 30mm lift HD springs, steering stops adjusted and Camel Cut rear arches. Would go most places as the 92 came standard without anti roll bars so articulated well. but turning circle was like a bus.
