Had a flat tyre in the forest on the way to work the other day,,
not surprising with the current state of my tyres and the daily trip through the forest.
I went to the local { well,, Maryborough,,,} Beaurepaires and scored 3 half worn AT Wranglers (current pattern) for $50!!! :wink:
Put one on and left the rest in storage.
I left the next morning with 25% more confidence than normal of a trouble free trip.
60 klms later and the "good" tyre went bang! :roll:
no, it wasnt the same rock,, I think.

8) poop eh, look at it this way , you got 60k and some free exercise, if you rethink that it was really 2 for $50

Sound's like a good deal, even if you only have two tyre's out of it now.

Did the wrangler pop in the side wall on the tread, and what was the cause if you know it??

yep harry,, full noise again tomorrow,, though its turned into a bit of a motokhana test with the tree loggers using MY road this week,,

Well,, they've all gone. The last two BFG TA's bit the dust yesterday, 5 years and 140,000 odd kays. Not too shabby. I suppose thats why they no longer make them :wink:
Got a couple of second hand Geolanders which should see me to the end of my forest trips. 8)

oh I loved the BFG ATs, the set I had on my D1 lasted throughout my entire ownership of the vehicle and were still on when I sold it (3yrs, 120xxxkm in my time)

Could someone be doing something dodgy with the track you drive ? (I found a piece of wood with nails up through it on my walk a few months ago, right were the 4x4s like to cross the creek... smelled slightly malicious to me though I'm not certain)
