It could be the angle of the picture but it looks very narrow. Im not so sure about the square / angled edge of the rear and back windows. I do like the side panelling and the vent, though is this the air intake?

I also like the way i think it would look with some decent rock sliders under the sills, possibly a little too much paint work in the front - will definately look tatty after a few years in the land downunder with bug splats.

Oh and im not so keen on the new roof line. I like the fact that my 93 disco has a similar profile to the current model, makes me feel like ive got the best of both worlds, same shape with solid mechanichal bits that i can to the maintenance on.

that vent looks like it is an intake. The Wolf model defenders have an intake in the same place. Would make fitting a snorkel easy, but without one ...... could be disasterous.

I hope that that rear windo becomes a normal one in the production model, imagine having to replace a window of that unusual shape $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Seing as i have the 'inside knowledge' on Landrover.....

DONT take the Disco 2005 photos seriously...i have it on good autority that they it is still in it's 'Concept' stage and the final 2005 model is a fair bit away from the 'final' product! (12 months to go on it approx)

It has bee said to me that LR in the UK released these 'secretive' photos to see what the LR enthusiasts and the general public thought of it!
Well, it did cause a bit of conversation, didn't it?!!?? :?

"A LARGE PORTION OF"... HMMMMMMM on that one! 8O

(dont know who's telling the truth here?!?!?) :?

    Well,
We'll have to wait and see about this, though i have passed this subject onto my 'insider' to see what can be 'dug up' on this topic...

So, Ill let you guys know, if and when i know and any developments!

    Makes you ponder, doesn't it

    Phoenix,

As soon as i hear ANYTHING...i coma and post it here!
I agree.....those designers would love some of our ideas!!

I know one extra thing i have been told about it since last posting about the 2005 Disco.... It will not be as 'boxy' (square etc etc) it will be a more round/ smother look. (as general feedback indicated 'WE - the people" did not like the 'harsh-squareness' of it!

    Thank goodness for that!

Will definitely post upon hearing any news!
*Must keep our fellow LR folk in the know!*

    Gotta go,

    Knight

8O that disco looks like an "OFF-ROAD VOLVO ",hope the new shape is a lot more rounder /smoother, and I agree on the roof line being split level, it has that unique-ness that makes it distinguishable from a distance, but thats just my two cents worth
