The pictures from my mythology studies showed Athena, Aphrodite and Hera very much as female. The breastydumplings were a giveaway.

And I reckon the three of them would be very much at home in a SWB Series 3

If your copy has the copyright-breaching section on the gods of the Cthulhu Mythos its worth good money.

I'll have to see if I can find it - if it is anywhere... It's been a LONG time since I've seen it.. But I can't remember anything like that though

    Honest...

Now if that's true, it's got me thinking - and the conclusion is troubling. If memory serves me correctly with regard to a certain Td5 Xtreme wagon I knew many years ago..... it may mean that Wally is actually god.

Rather disappointing I know, but according to Wikipedia the female god doesn't drive a LR, she rides a camel:

The She-Camel of God was a miraculous female camel sent by God to the people of Thamud, in Arabia, when they demanded their prophet Saleh or Sahlay to ask God for a miracle. The narrative and story of the she-camel is recorded in the Qur'an.
    Couldn't find a picture...

The operative word, its meaning being that it is a myth.

Now I am not religious myself but I do know the lords prayer. It starts with "Our father which art in heaven", not "Our Mother which art in heaven"
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

The version of that I learned starts with "You got a lotta nerve, to say you are my friend....."

The subtleties of language. The thread title was "if there was a god..." not God, chosen deity of the Christians and the Jews, but god, deity, generic, of which there have been thousands, and a good proportion of which have been depicted as female by their followers.

So, the original thread title is not bound by the immediate conclusion that most would jump to on reading it that god=God. And your comment on how the pantheon of gods of the Ancient Greeks is merely mythology, given that there is little difference between their worship ( as in they raised temples to their gods, prayed to them, and devoted their lives to them) is no different to any other belief system.

I think that Helios did eventually trade his chariot that he used to cart the sun across the sky for a Perentie. Soft top, of course.
