    Ah ok.
Main beneficial ingredient in ruby grapefruit is Lycopene.
Since becoming aware of this blood pressure issue I have been adding to my diet. Not a difficult thing to do.
Tomato is a good source of lycopene so I have been eating a couple a day and adding it sliced to meat while cooking. Some processed tomato products are better than the raw fruit because it releases more lycopene.
Tomato soup for instance, I usually have this before dinner because I grew up on it from my early days on the farm and besides which, I like it.
Other benificial foods are banana's and dried raisons.
None of this is hard to take so I nibble on this stuff instead of other rubbish.
Will see what benifits over time, if any, while monitoring blood pressure.

Among few researches done on the benefits of ruby grapefruit is one done in Israeli which have found that red grapefruit not only lowers blood pressure but also cholesterol and triglycerides (American Journal of Hypertension, October 2005; Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, March 8, 2006).

The only problem with grapefruit it is that can interact with some drugs including statins and fenobrite for the cholesterol control and some blood pressure medicines like Zanidip.

I am under Zanidip after have to stop Coversil + due to severe cases of angioedema.
Also I was under Lipidil (fenobrite) that I have to stop 8 weeks ago due to serious effect on the brain functions.
I am monitoring my cholesterol now and keep trying to be able to control my blood pressure under 150.

If you can control your blood pressure and cholesterol without take any drug go for it! The side effect of them can be very bad from renal failure trough pancreatic attack and not to muscular and brain functions.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Well, I have been testing the blood pressure by adding certain foods and exercise for about a week.
The Hibiscus tea I ordered online hasn't turned up so I might have to checkout the local health food stores in town.
I have added raw and cooked tomatoes to my diet each day as well as bananas and dried raisons. I will start eating more veges and buy a blender to use as well.
Can you boil brussel sprouts, spinich, cauliflower and that sort of stuff ?
I eat lots of steamed veges 4 or five times a week but I would like to add a few more things.
I am walking about 4 or 5 klm each day and doing pt type exercises. I also spend time on the exercise bike and my treadmill. The treadmill has an uphill slope and a mile or two certainly gives the calf muscles some hurry up,
Since my eye ops to replace both lenses I can get myself fit to play golf again.
Eye Doc said to avoid chopping wood and doing heavy stuff for a few months untill things have settled and eyes have been given all clear. Now good.
Checking my blood pressure three times a day it has come down from an average of 150/80 to around 120/60. Upto 140/70 after solid work out.
I will have to learn to balance the new diet intake as a couple of days the thingy went down to 106/45 !!!
This sort of approach is not difficult to start or maintain and is far better than living with all the side effects of those prescibed poisons.

When I start playing rounds of golf again I might use cold bottles of Hibiscus tea in the insulated compartment of my golf bag instead of water.
    Have to test it out.
By changing my diet early this year I have shed 10 kilo's, like to lose another ten and maintain at about 90.
Not realistic to lose more as I have a larger upper frame and a barrel chest. My shoulders are almost twice as wide as my hips.

I would like to stay fit untill I drop suddenly dead !!!
If I was disabled and couldn't care for myself it would be past time for the noose.

Yes you can and the nutrition will be better than boiled.
Do not forget to add kale in your greens it is the super food of the brassicas and together with radish and watercress the best of all.
