Someone posts up a one-liner that inferred that the killers were coming here in amongst the refugees, others give some facts correcting that and you leap off in a different direction with another incorrect assumption. In your earlier post you have said you can have compassion for those that are selected from refugee camps. There is a difference between us having a tough, yet fair policy with some and sucking up to others.

Other than those boats coming almost directly across the Indian Ocean most of them appear to come from Indonesia where they also seem "unable" to stop unseaworthy boats leaving. Why can't we ask them to offer a different "Solution"?

Yes Mick, some must be persistent. If they fail the entry tests well that pretty much should be the end of it. Yet there are tens of thousands on work visas, endentured type slave systems, students, sponsored ones, over-staying visitors it goes on and on - no wonder the infrastructure can't keep up.

Any of you like to comment on the Business Migration Schemes?

Been rorted for years and infinitely more scope for graft, corruption, incompetence. Would you call them "fly-in" economic refugees - many of whom have become invisible once here and without doubt are involved in crime. How much cane furniture for example can Australia consume?

The difference is they have $500,000 (later increased to $800,000) or buy a business here, even get State Government help. I know there are many rules, checks and balances but why are there so many "helpers" in this sector.

They are driving up real estate prices, buying out Australian business and farms and getting help to do it - really strange
