    I can't see why it would need to be locked but could easily be achieved with an air actuation. A 100+ tonne roadtrain is held together with 2" mild steel.

    Both your examples are cool vehicles for sure, but both are basicly truck and trailer. That is the forward half is stable in its own right. A 101FC with powerd trailer could be considered same as a Gama Goat.

    Now speaking of the Gama Goat, how about this little concept gem

    Im sure if you opend QDOT front and back doors, you could drive that thing through just about any where.
