As I slowly type this with my genetically crippled Celtic Hands I think of the souls of past fallen warriors sitting at the tables of Valhalla sinking coldies and playing with wenches. Who are we to deny these brothers of blood, pilledge and toil because of their ethnicities?

My ancestors got around a bit, you know. They visited and traded in Britain, sent civilizing expeditions to Ireland, Island, Gronland, France, Spain, Southern France, Italy, Greece, Russia, Constantinople, recorded as being in Morocco in 845. Plenty of opportunity to recruit dusky workers in their travels. Bjorn Ironside, a son of Ragnar Lodbrok, set up a camp near Marseille and traded around the Mediterranean for three years. Biased local historian monks said this caused widespread distress amongst the local populace.

Ragnar Lodbrok styled himself the Sea King. Harald Bluetooth, first Christian King of Denmark disputed this as he opined he ruled by divine right from the Pope. Ragnar is said to have pointed his sword at his fleet in Roskilde harbour and invited Harald to bring his fleet to sea and sort out the question. Harald declined the invitation.

Pretty sure in the Movie Robin Hood Prince of Theives in the early 1990's there was a very dark african shapped guy. He made gunpowder that seemed to impress the poms running around the forest.

I suppose that even though travel wasn't as fast or frequent as now, people still moved around - and probably easier than today - no customs or border patrol!
