I have amended your statement to be a bit more accurate.
Why do so many people say that it is all right for one to claim pride but for others to supposedly be ashamed of that same pride.
Any person who lives and breathes and has any kind of pride at all can be called a "Racist".
I know for a fact that I am, and quite proud of the fact, especially when it comes to Football, cricket, Olympics, car racing, and any other competitive situation you may be able to think of.
I am sexist too

I don't think racism has much to do with it. There's people everywhere that are inconsiderate like that, in all sorts of ways, including some Aussies.
Cheers, Pickles.
A couple of years ago I returned to the Scarborough (Qld) boat ramp from an early a.m. fish to find 3 boats in front of me idling around in an "holding" pattern as the ramp was extremely busy.
About 2 minutes later this boat comes into the harbour, wends it's way through us blokes waiting, glides up to the ramp.
Out jump two Asians. While one holds the boat the other heads off to the vehicle with the skipper still on board.
The bloke who was, from his reaction, really next in line was heard to say a few words.
As luck would have it the three 90 kg+ blokes launching a Sharkcat , which the incoming boat would have hit except for a grab by one of the blokes, soon straightened the offenders out, although not without a lot of attitude from other skipper.
Blind Freddy could have seen what the situation at the ramp was.
Were the Sharkcat blokes rascist....No.
Were the Asians being Asians.........My Oath!!!
