Could you post the winery name, I'll find Springton & Mt Pleasant on the map, place the info into the future trip book. The pie place has been noted, Bob .
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    After 30,000 km's the winner is ...

In 2011 we drove 30,000 around OZ with lots of side trips going anticlockwise. Voted by all in our family were the pies from Oasis eatery in Broome. Chunky meat, great pastry and a must visit.

    Happy Days.
Blade is acceptable due to it's fat content...

I'm still obsessed by the pork belly pie from ferg bakery. Yum!

The Famous Pie Shop in Tenterfield was pretty tasty last time I was there. Good wines in that area too.

I've often thought there would be a good website in pies. Could have reviews, recipes, eating experiences etc.
Has AULRO ever considered a food section? After all, LR owners like to eat well and have discerning taste.
Could be sections for food, beer and wine. This pie thread could start the food section.
    Just a thought...

Although, the Cowan Pie in the sky is also pretty damn good too.
Expensive though and more with sauce

They do both Rob, not going there again though, way too pricey

There is Mick A sticky in "Camping, Tucker and Bush Basics" thread. I started it years ago, mainly for camping recipes, but we could add others

    Back to pies......

We did a run to Coffs Harbour today to deliver a 130 to a very happy new owner

On the way back we stoped at Freddo's Pies @ Cowper. On looking on the bags there are 5 I think, scattered down the Pacific Hwy, with the head office in Frederickton.

I had lamb with mint sauce and a snag roll, both quite good tasting.

hh had a curry pie and a bacon & cheese snag roll, which he said were quite good.

The girl asked if we needed sauce, hh said, a good pie doesn't need sauce

Oh and jerryd the pies at Daybro are very good
