Putting grated cheese on some corn chips and melting it in the oven is not cooking....

Do you make your own quacamole at least?

    Delicious, maybe, but hardly cooking.

    Dude.....
Gotta have the tomato and the mince too.....
And of course I'm making my own quacamole, to buy the tube variety would be cheating!

    Yep, same here.
Married over 30 years & never done V Day.
When first going out together I mentioned to my now wife that the only time a bloke buys flowers is when he's feeling guilty about something so I've never done that either or I'd be dead meat

I agree with you, if you love someone you should show it all the time, not feel forced to splash out once a year

However I heard one bloke call into the ABC today, he proposed to his wife 30 years ago today, she passed away a few years ago and he reckoned he would love to have her around to have bought her flowers today,

My wife left us and now works/ lives in Canberra. I know I would give anything to have her around today to spoil.
Instead I'm off to drop daughter at airport so she can enjoy Valentines day with mum.

To all of you who do have someone to be with tonight, enjoy it. Its much worse if that someone's not around

    Geez, Come on guys........

So you don't do Easter, XMAS, birthdays, father/mothers days, Halloween, New Year's Eve, hump day..........

I don't particularly like going out on valentines day....we have the kids this year, I'm sure we will celebrate somehow whe they go to bed

As far as I am concerned, if you are serious , & in love, every day should be Valentines day. Bob [ works for me ]
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
