I love the Hitler channel, but mainly because some of the shows aren't about Hitler.

Probably the only thing I'd miss is my Daily Show with Jon Stewart and my regular top up of Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister. Waiting for a repeat of the Python shows but they come around very rarely.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I bought them on DVD. Cheaper than Foxtel. Better programming times too.

Cancelled? Just as the crickets started???

But, I may ring them up and threaten to cancel myself if they will halve the price for 12 months! Thanks for the tip.

How do you cancel the free to air channels? they are all full of garbage. I wonder at the mentality of viewers who look at the garbage. American rubbish that they probably can't air over there.

Can't help you there. Apart from the ABC I hardly watch free to air. I watch all my American rubbish on pay...

Can't give the Yanks full credit. There's enough home grown trash on air to compete with it.

the gun laws are there so we dont shoot our tv s and therefore not watch the ads. must say going without the sport channels could cause domestic disharmony though

I would never have the time to watch enough TV to get value out of pay tv. My dad had it when it first came out, watched it a few times, liked that discovery channel.

Avid DVD watcher when I get time. It comes on when I want and if I fall asleep it restarts again. If I see a series I like on TV, I get SHMBO to buy it on ebay and when I'm finished she sells it.

Don't mind some of the of the yank action stuff, but by the time it comes on after reno, cooking, fat busting or other crap I'm asleep. If I was retired I might go for pay tv, so 20 years to go.

We had Austar, bloody pain in the arse, so we cancelled, the whole reason for pay TV was the Motorcycle racing, which was covered by Speed TV, which Austar were not going to get, they were down right rude when we cancelled, telling us we had to have the box back to them by a certain time.

As we packed it up to send off, Foxtel took them over fully, the phone calls asking why and would we consider re-signing, they even said not to worry about sending the box back, and apologized about Austar, apparently they were getting a lot of complaints about them.

Don't miss it really, maybe the History channel, Nat Geo, Planet Earth, World Superbikes.

Now instead of 60 channels of crap, it's only 10

    Cheers Baz.
