    Cancelled our foxtel today

    Gday All,

After paying for something we have hardly been using lately we decided to cancel our foxtel today, and WOW did they start throwing some amazing deals to make us stay. In the end the supposed manager rang and after his speil I said why didnt you offer such big discounts before, it would have been a lot easier. Some of the deals for the same package were less than half of our current deal.

Anyway in the end he conceded that he couldn't keep us and gave up, but , if I ever sign up again I will have a different attitude in regards to what they offer.

    Cheers Ean

They'll ring back later, and try to con the missus into re-signing while you're out.

All the extra perks run out after 3 months, and you're back where you started from.

    Been there, done that.

The missus was the one who decided to cancel it so not much chance of that.

I said to the manager "give me your best offer " 12 months at half our current rate.. he didn't know what to say when I said. "not good enough "

You would never like living in the uk where you have to pay a license to use your TV for the terrestrial channels . About $200 to $250 a year

If you need to, put some of that money aside to increase your Internet speed and downloads. If you already have good speed and downloads, money in the bank
