Procrastination pays off sometimes!
Sometimes not doing something straight away pays dividends.
While I was off work last year, I received a series of letters from work. I didn't understand what on earth they were on about, lots of acronyms, lots of legal disclaimers, lots that was beyond my drug-addled brain at the time.
I chucked the letters in a drawer, intending to find out a bit more later on.
Forgot about it, until an email came around at work during the week.....create an account..blah blah blah.....letters sent to your home address....blah blah blah....very important.....valued employee....
Yeah, whatever.
So I thought I'd better look at it a little more deeply. Found out that it was an employee share incentive scheme, as in "here you are, here's some shares for being a good boy". And to cap it all? The shares are worth 55% more now than if
I'd bothered looking into it a year ago. Just when I was starting to fret where my daughter's uni fees were coming from!
So the moral of the story is, don't do today what you can put off to next year, because it'll be worth ****loads more then!
