HEY! All you U BEWT landrover owners. I own 2 x series 1's 2 x series 11's, 1 series 11A, a 6 cyl series three, a RangeRover Classic and Discovery 2 AND lastly a 110 County into which I put a VM Motori Diesel (out of a Rangie)
SO I copped large amounts of flack from You AULRO members, rubbishing the VM???
So how do you expect Tojo owners to react?

I think it had something to do with the provision of spares for lots of years after the buy of the vehicles. May also had something to do with the provision of jobs at the assembly plant.

I think the problem with LR has been the limited supply and the limited power output of their engines. Yes the County came in V8s but I think that it was too late and the limited power statement is probably still applicable.

Tall poppy syndrome, bogans can't cope with sophistication or unfamiliarity. I was into 2 Series Volvos before Land Rover, I copped the same crap. There are thousands of old, tidy, unrestored Volvos still faithfully performing duties as daily drivers; not too many HQ/XAs fulfilling the same role.

for a long time now I have kept half an eye out for a straight 260z. I have a Chrysler 265 Hemi 6 in the shed that needs a home. More compact, lighter, and almost half again as much capacity as that Nissan lump. Don't know where there is one available do you?
