    Land Rover Owners Club

Hey guys , I went to a meeting of the Sydney branch of the Australian Landrover Owners Club last night.

Was a great night held at Boots Camping and Outdoor who offered members a great discount on their stock.

Id like to say that I had a great time met some very nice people. I was genuinely welcomed.

I have the paper work and will be joining.

Oh and By the way - does anyone remeber Snail Bait?

I met Snail and Mrs Snail last night - they are very nice people - Goes to show that we should all take internet rooms as they come - but its when you meet a man face to face you can tell what hes like.

Snail is VERY pro club - but ya know thats not a bad thing - hes a landrover owner and driver ans a nice bloke ! I for one think he may have got a bit of the raw end of the stick from me and maybe some others on this site.

So ill throw over to everyone - is there any other members of this site that were at the meeting - I know Bushie was there - thanks for the great deal on the radio mate !

    Take care

    Mick

Sounds like a good night was had. What sort of size is the club out of interest???

That's why I hate it when people take forums like this so seriously, mostly they are great people. Is snaibaits defender going OK after the repairs from that tree falling on it??

    Yeah fair comment KEV.

Like you said - im interested in meeting more like minded people in landys locally whos brains i can pick when the time is right and who maybe one day i can help.

I dont want to live and breathe any clum movement - im my own person - and i quite enjoy my own company sometimes.

Ill take what you say as advice and keep a low profile at the club - if and when i join....

are you going to make it to the Penrith thingy - i hope to meet you there.

geez! i wish i knew you were coming, landrovermick. i would have made a point of sayin' g'day. my "yoot" was parked almost opposite the entry door in the side street, i have the camo canopy on at the moment.
it was a good night and we do have a lot of really nice people in the club. unfortunately, as things go, there is also some of the members that are, let's just say "less than desirable". not in a nasty way, but just a pain in the arse. these types are easily avoided, and the nice people are in plentiful supply.
hope to see you at the next one. it'll be at fivedock
