The D3's just another soft roader ...

A lot of fuss over a Range Rover look alike, and cost alike.

You Discovery guy's need to get some Defender attitude ...

Besides, at least the buggers look credible off-road unlike your fancy pants range-rover wannabe disco cars. Yep cars, not trucks.
    (adds burley to water).

Oh, look. I found a pic of the new "base model" DIsco.
You know the one, comes in at just over $70K.

oops, I just tipped all the burley in at once....

Ok i'll bite. From the reports so far the disco 3 is more capable than the new rangie, and when LROI compared the defender 90 with rangie interms of off road ability they scored equally, so if Disco 3 is better than the rangie, then i guess its better than the defender too. But you are right it will never be as serious as the defender, and the disco needs all the goodies to make it go as far. But from the reports, the independent suspension is supposed to be very good, as they have the electronics to push the oppposite wheel as far down as possible when the other is right up in the wheel arch. Only time will tell is suppose, lets see what 4x4 Australia say about it in 4wdoty. Matt
