How many RPM were you contemplating ... ? (Rivets per Metre)

Not too sure at this stage.

I'll make that decision after I've beaten the panels so that it looks as though it has been made out of kerosene cans, give it a good polish and then find the appropriate spacing.

My youngest son on seeing a brand spanking new metallic burgundy Defender asked if they made them all that way.

8) burgundy,
thats close to empire maroon,
my first car the vang,
often called the purple vang.
give your youngest son an ice cream he's a good kid.

pedro, how fast is fast?

i spotted it at tugun, northbound in friday night traffic, took to the pines to get behind it for the rear shot, missed my exit and i think there was a 4 in the number.
at 110 plus it just goes away, and
no matter how deft the foot,
me and my load just got left behind
until he let me catch him.

all the above is made up to make this story sound good for the rev heads in computer world as is in no way factual
any reference to irresponsible highway behavior is purely for promotional purposes.

I got nearly the same comment, the first day I parked it at work.

"But they forgot to paint the rivet heads near the back door!"
I told him I was mad cause they'd painted all the rest !.
As if a Defender would be the same without some rivets showing.

Some people have no idea that Land Rover isnt just a car, its a Legend, rivets and all. Not some plastic, motorised shopping trolley for the masses but an original, an icon, a car for someone who doesnt give a rats a**e about conforming to set standards of yuppiness.

Someone take this soapbox before I really get going ...... ops:

I s'pose for those of us bereft of original rivets and suffering from rivet envy we wonder what makes a Land Rover, the essence...well take it off road.

There are hosts of Disco and Range Rover Drivers who don't and therefore should question why they drive one...buy a Symetrical AWD Suburu instead.

The box back to you Davo.
