Heard on the news that 240 tonnes of clay was imported from the States to make the diamond (?) on the SCG.

ill take Nascar over the taxi's any day of the week esp if its on a super speedway or one of the bull rings, but the cookie cutters 1 1/2mile tracks do get pretty boring to watch with the fright train racing but then so is the taxi's with there fright train racing too
that said id rather watch dirt oval racing.

the reason why NFL use helmets and pads is the sport was going to be banned due to the amount of deaths it caused prior them being introduced and id want them too if I had 3 guys weighing over 120kg running flat out at me wanting to hit me as hard as they could too.

id love to go watch but Sydney is a bit far away

bt id like to see how the aussie batsman would go with a pro pitcher throwing the ball at them at 170+km/h they still get head hunters thrown at them

The nrl boys have three big boys running at them every weekend and with a bigger run up and more speed.no helmets or pads needed. how many tackles would a quarter back make? a half back makes many because they stay on the field the whole time none of their blokes stay on the field for the whole game cant they defend and attack? they need a complete team change. where is the skill in that? a pitcher may be faster but the batter knows the ball is coming in the hitting zone and you focus for a few balls not hours on end. a baseball has no factor on the game where a cricket ball changes over the 80 overs from hard to soft and changes character so does the pitch. i dont see a baseball or batting area change during the game not much skill there. cricket batters face far more variety of bowling the ball moves off the pitch and moves in the air and can come to you at any part of your body in baseball curve ball or fast ball if you get out who cares you get another go not much skill there. a cricket fielder can catch a ball very close to the batsmen without a great big glove on anyone can catch a ball with a glove on not much skill there. aussie athletes are far more skillful its a shame they dont get the money americans do for playing much softer sports.

the NRL are far more restricted on what and how they can tackle compared the NFL but it is probably changing (I haven't kept up to date on what is legal in both codes)
baseballs don't always go in the stroke zone what pitchers try to do is get the batters to swing at stuff that isn't in the stroke zone and try to have the balls fall at or near the plate or swing or just try to be too fast for the batsman.

both games are more like chess but then poker esp NFL where Australian and English games seem to be more like poker and faster paced

btw both baseball and cricket are bloody boring when your fielding

Australians don't get the money that the Americans do cause there isn't the money that is in America cause we have 23 million they have 300+ million

Don't like football or basketball. Hockey I don't understand. Golf is booorrinng!

Curling is fascinating, although I don't understand it. I don't understand the fascination of watching someone fish on telly.

Baseball has nuances in the game that has always caught my interest. I always catch the 'World Series'.

NASCAR gets my attention with the technical aspects and the strategy. 500 miles at Daytona or Talladega seems like a ballet when 20 cars at 200 mph can be covered with a blanket.

If someone loves a sport it is as valid as any other.

We would love to go, both of our boys played baseball for a number of years. Played in the winter and summer for two different teams. Had to get up early Sunday morning and get them there 1 hour before game to warm up. Also in the afternoon watch the seniors if they where playing a home game. Also watch the game when they had in on the TV from America. This is the only sport that I watch
    This is Heather
