    thanks AULRO

just a note to thank the administrators and members of this great forum for the help with the LROC expo leading up to today.
last year we had roughly 130 vehicles on display, this year we stopped counting at 250 as we ran out of stickers. the day was a total success, admittedly, it still has a few holes that need fixing, but everyone had a great day.
met quite a few forumites from here and REMLR and it was fantastic to put some faces to names.
3 guys drove a 130 dual cab and a disco up from wodonga to penrith for the expo, and were given a trophy for their effort. hope to see more next year, with a bit of luck, one day it may even rival wandin's show in vic

one of the stand-out vehicles was a series 2 disco that had been cut and shut to form a cabin that had the rough dimensions of your average extra-cab jap ute, maintaining the rear doors which were cut down to ridiculously small proportions. they were only ment as reach through access to stuff behing the seats or as doggie doors.
the chassis was then lengthened by roughly a metre and a tray fitted, this in turn had a slide-on camper with a pop up roof. the type i cannot recall the name of, but the access to all items are from the side of the vehicle and both sides have the ability to slide outwards from the body about 400mm, creating a huge living space inside.
i'llpost some photos when i get them back from the chemist.
